Kelly Bensimon isn't saying "I do" to Scott Litner anymore.
Days before her wedding, the Real Housewives of New York City alum—who shares kids Sea, 26, and Teddy, 24, with ex-husband Gilles Bensimon—shared that she called off the wedding to the financier to focus on her family.
"I have decided that my two daughters are my priority," Kelly told Page Six in a June 25 statement. "I won't be moving forward with this wedding."
Her decision to cancel the June 29 wedding came the same day she was set to pick up her three wedding dresses from the renowned Kleinfeld's Bridal.
Prior to her relationship with Scott, Kelly felt that finding love after her split with Gilles in 2007 would happen when the time was right.
"I was single for so long and I kissed a lot of frogs," the 55-year-old told Interview Magazine earlier this month. "One of the reasons that I didn't meet someone earlier is because I wasn't ready to meet someone earlier. I was raising my girls. I was making sure that everyone was happy and healthy and safe and educated."
The pair's nuptials were set to be an intimate ceremony in Scott's mother's backyard in Boston, which she said would have a "garden party vibe." They were also planning to host a larger event in the Hamptons.
Scott had proposed to the socialite during a Fourth of July vacation to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, which is one of Kelly's favorite summer destinations. As for the ring, the reality star received a custom emerald-cut, five-carat jewelry.
"I never thought that I could be so happy at this stage in my life, this is truly a new beginning," Kelly told E! News the time. "We have a romance that people write novels about."
