'Power Rangers' actor Hector David Jr. accused of assaulting elderly man in Idaho

"Power Rangers" actor Hector David Jr. has been accused of misdemeanor battery following a recent assault in Idaho.
David Jr. (real name: Hector David Rivera) was named as a suspect in the July 26 attack of an elderly man inside a Nampa, Idaho, parking lot, the Nampa Police Department confirmed to USA TODAY in an email Wednesday.
Prior to David Jr. being identified, police shared surveillance video of the assault on social media. Footage shows the 35-year-old actor shoving the man – who was using a walker – to the ground. David Jr. then appears to scold the man following the attack and later gets inside a black truck.
"The man in this video pushed an elderly man to the ground after they exchanged words about a parking issue," police captioned the video. "After pushing the man down, the suspect left him on the ground and drove away in a raised up black, four-door truck with (a) Texas license plate."

Authorities said the injured man was helped up afterward and "will be ok."
Nampa Police Department spokesperson Carmen Boeger said David Jr. has not been apprehended and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.
USA TODAY has reached out to a representative for David Jr. for comment.
David Jr. was scheduled to appear at Magic Valley Comic-Con in Twin Falls, Idaho, this weekend. The pop culture convention confirmed to USA TODAY that David Jr. will no longer be appearing at the event.
Instead, "How to Train Your Dragon" actor Justin Rupple will be replacing David Jr. for the event's panels.
"It's truly unfortunate for everyone involved," Magic Valley Comic-Con Marketing Director Larissa Long said in an email Wednesday.

David Jr. is best known for playing Mike, the Green Samurai Ranger, on "Power Rangers Samurai" from 2011-2012. He reprised his role for a guest appearance on "Power Rangers Megaforce" in 2014 and the 2015 film "Power Rangers Super Megaforce: The Legendary Battle."
