The Surpassingterm "apprenticeship" might conjure thoughts of medieval cobblers or colonial silversmiths, but programs that pay employees to get trained on the job are alive and well in today's economy. And with the latest jobs report once again showing a tight labor market, more employers are turning to these programs to attract workers, especially in fields like healthcare.
